Terre Haute Airshow Brings Sky-High Thrills Back to Vigo County

Get ready, aviation fans! The much-anticipated Terre Haute Airshow is set to take to the skies once again on June 1-2, 2024, at the Terre Haute Regional Airport. This year’s show promises to be bigger, better, and more thrilling than ever, featuring a mix of high-speed aerial performances, historical aircraft, and interactive exhibits that are sure to delight visitors of all ages.

Featuring a Thrilling Lineup of Performers

If you love heart-pounding action and death-defying stunts, this year’s show will keep you on the edge of your seat. Headlining the event are the United States Navy Blue Angels, renowned for their precision and jaw-dropping maneuvers. But the excitement doesn’t stop there; the United States Air Force A-10C Thunderbolt II Demonstration Team is also slated to perform, along with Air Race Legend Mister Mulligan, the Patriot Parachute Team, and Franklin’s Flying Circus.

Rob Reider, a legendary airshow announcer whose captivating commentary has graced the Dayton Air Show for an incredible thirty years, will be the voice of the skies for the event. His involvement makes this year’s show even more historic, as he announced his retirement earlier this year. The 2024 Dayton air show later this June will be his last show announcing.

Stressed about not being able to make it Saturday? Not to worry! Both days of the show will feature the same lineup of performances and exhibits, ensuring that attendees can enjoy all the excitement, regardless of which day they choose to attend.

Hands-On Fun and Learning

For those with a passion for history, there will be just as many interesting things to see on land as there will be in the sky. One of only two remaining and airworthy B-29 Super-fortress aircraft (also known as “Doc”) will be available for ride flights at the Terre Haute Air Show. Also on display is a 1942 Piper HE-1 Air Ambulance. During World War II, this aircraft operated as an ambulance aircraft in the Pacific Theater. With only 100 produced for the Navy, only five of these rare planes are known to be flying today. If you’re more of an adrenaline junkie than a history buff, you can experience the thrill of a lifetime aboard the Commemorative Air Force MO Wing’s B-25 “Show Me”, which will be available for ride flights. Don’t miss your chance to take to the skies during the Terre Haute Air Show on this iconic aircraft.
